This ReadMe file provides instructions on how to download discharge data ("Runoff_Observed.csv.")and simulated discharge ("Runoff_Predicted.csv") from the USGS website, clean up the data, and format it into a CSV file with specific columns. The steps below guide you through the process:

1. Download Discharge Data:

Visit the USGS website using the following link: https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/current/?type=dailydischarge&group_key=huc_cd&site_no_name_select=siteno.
Find and click on the gage located within your Area of Interest (AOI).
Click "Summary of all available data for this site."
Click "Daily Data"
Check the available parameter, e.g., 00060 Discharge(Mean).
Specify the date range you need.
Choose "Tab-separated data" as the format.
Click "GO" to retrieve the data.
Copy the data from the webpage.

2. Create a CSV File:
Open a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel.

3. Delimit and Clean Up Data:
Paste the copied data into the spreadsheet.
Delete the first 26 rows, which are descriptions of the data.
Make sure the first row contains the column titles: agency_cd, site_no...
Select the column containing the data and split into separate columns.
In Excel, go to the "Data" tab.
Click on "Text to Columns."
Choose the "Delimited" option.
Select "Tab" as the delimiter.
Click "Finish" to separate the data into columns.
Delete the unnecessary columns.

4. Final Data Format:

The final CSV file should have 6 columns: agency_cd, site_no, Month, Day, Year, and MeanDischarge.
You can refer to the example in the test case named "Runoff_Observed.csv." for the desired format.

To obtain daily precipitation meteorologic data, go to https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/maps/daily/

5. To get simulated discharge for TimeSeries_OnondagaLake case, first obtain weather data from NCEI weather station, replacing precipitation data from Giovanni. 
Then run HydroStatistical simulation to get daily discharge data.
